*Christian Battle of the Bands*
Due to poor planning on my part, by trying to schedule the Battle of the Bands in June (usually in April), I am running in to lack of interest, along with scheduling conflicts that require me to postpone this years Battle of the bands till FALL. We'll try for a November date. Again, keep and eye on the website for updates. If you are hosting a battle of the bands, and would like your event linked to from this page, drop me an email.

CBOTB's Mission Statement
Our main and first goal is to foster, incourage and promote "Future" worship leaders. Which is why OUR Battle of the Bands is geared toward unsigned, mostly, but not limited to youth bands. I feel it really should be the highest priority for the Christian musician to be involved in worship 1st well before he promotes himself. As a Christian musician, you're 1st obligation is to God and serving Him with your talent. Within that understanding, God may use you outside of that purpose of worshiping musically, to encourage, lift up and entertain fellow Christians. We encourage and hope to have young start up bands pull together just for the event by people just learning to play and sing to bands that tour regionally. It's all in good fun and friendly compitition. Even though the bands range from acoustic to hard rock, there is basically only one category. But within that category there is a fair scoring system singles out the bands that have worked hard and prepared themselves for music ministry.
Each bands will have about 15 minutes. In that time, if you are competing, you will be required to play one original, one cover, and lead the "congregation" in worship. 2 songs can be originals or covers, inluding the worship song. The judging will include how well you cover a song, write a song, and lead worship. You are not required to compete, but you are required to lead a song of worship.
